To encourage scientific thinking and innovation among young students, the Department of Science and Technology (DST), in collaboration with the National Innovation Foundation (NIF) and MyGov, has launched the SciQuest Summer Exploration 2026 national poster competition. The competition is organized on the theme “Science to Solve Everyday Problems” and is specially designed for students of Classes VI to VIII.
This initiative aims to inspire students to think creatively, apply science and technology in daily life, and contribute toward building an innovation-driven and self-reliant India.
About SciQuest Summer Exploration 2026
SciQuest Summer Exploration is a nationwide poster-making competition focused on promoting scientific temperament, creativity, and problem-solving abilities among school students. Participants are encouraged to present original ideas and practical science-based solutions through innovative posters.
The competition supports the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 and aims to nurture future innovators, researchers, and technology leaders who can strengthen India’s indigenous scientific ecosystem.

Students can create posters showcasing how science and technology can provide practical solutions for issues faced in daily life, society, the environment, education, healthcare, transportation, energy, and more.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students studying in Classes VI to VIII are eligible to participate.
- Participants must submit original artwork created by themselves.
- Individual participation is allowed.

Participants must follow the official submission guidelines carefully while preparing their entries.

- Digital posters or high-quality scanned copies of hand-drawn posters

- A3 size (297 × 420 mm)
- Minimum digital resolution: 300 dpi

- A short description or caption of up to 100 words explaining the concept of the poster must be included.

- The artwork must be completely original.
