The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has issued the official notification for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET)-10. Through this recruitment drive, online applications are being invited to fill Nursing Officer vacancies across AIIMS institutions. Candidates who qualify will be appointed at Pay Level 7 of the Pay Matrix (pre-revised Pay Band-2: ₹9,300–34,800 with Grade Pay ₹4,600) under Group-B.
The NORCET-10 examination will be conducted for recruitment at AIIMS New Delhi and other participating AIIMS institutes, depending on the availability of vacancies in the respective institutions.

Educational Qualification
Candidates must have any one of the following:
Option a:
- B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing OR Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing
- Registered as Nurse & Midwife with State/Indian Nursing Council
Option b:
- Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM)
- Registered as Nurse & Midwife
- Minimum 2 years experience in a 50-bedded hospital after qualification
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years
- Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules.

AIIMS NORCET-10 Recruitment 2026: Exam Pattern
Stage I: NORCET Preliminary
- Qualifying exam only; marks not counted in final merit.
- Qualified candidates become eligible for NORCET Mains (Stage II).
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Questions: 100 MCQs (20 GK & Aptitude + 80 Nursing)
- Negative Marking: 1/3 mark per wrong answer
- Paper divided into 5 sections (20 questions each, 18 minutes per section)
Qualifying Percentile:
- UR/EWS: 50%
- OBC: 45%
- SC/ST: 40%
- PwBD: Additional 5% relaxation (UR/EWS-45%, OBC-40%, SC/ST-35%)
Stage II: NORCET Mains
- Duration: 180 minutes
- Questions: 160 MCQs (160 marks) – Nursing syllabus (case-based)
- Negative Marking: 1/3 mark per wrong answer
- Paper divided into 4 sections (40 questions each, 45 minutes per section)
- Final merit is based on Mains score
