SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2026: Selection Process

The selection process for the SSC Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Examination 2026 is conducted in three main stages to evaluate candidates’ knowledge and stenography skills.

Stage 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
The first stage is an online objective exam.

The required speed is 100 words per minute for Grade ‘C’ and 80 words per minute for Grade ‘D’. Candidates must transcribe the dictated passage on a computer within the given time limit. This test is qualifying in nature.

Stage 3: Document Verification

Final Selection

  • The final selection is based on marks obtained in the Computer-Based Test, provided the candidate qualifies in the skill test and successfully completes document verification.
