Common Nursing Entrance Test (CNET) 2026: Courses Offered

1. B.Sc. Nursing (4 Years)

  • Entry-level undergraduate nursing program
  • Admission after 10+2 with Science (PCB)

The exam is mandatory for entry into all affiliated government and private nursing colleges, including SGPGIMS, KGMU, RMLIMS, UPUMS, and LLRM. Admission is strictly based on entrance test merit.

2. Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (2 Years)

  • Designed for GNM-qualified registered nurses
  • Helps upgrade qualification to a bachelor’s degree

It is mandatory for admission to all government and private nursing colleges affiliated with ABVMU.

3. M.Sc. Nursing / NPCC (2 Years)

  • Postgraduate program for advanced nursing specialization
  • Includes Nurse Practitioner in Critical Care (NPCC)
The exam is required for entry into all affiliated government and private nursing colleges, including SGPGIMS, KGMU, and LLRM, with selection based on merit.

B.Sc Nursing

  • Minimum age: 17 years (as on 31 Dec 2026)
  • 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English
  • Minimum marks:

    • General: 45% in PCB
    • SC/ST/OBC: 40% in PCB
  • English must be a compulsory subject
  • Medically fit candidates only

Post Basic B.Sc Nursing

  • Passed 10+2 or equivalent
  • Must hold GNM certificate
  • Registered as R.N.R.M. (Registered Nurse & Midwife)
  • Medically fit candidates eligible

M.Sc Nursing / NPCC

  • Registered Nurse & Midwife
