Selected candidates must arrange suitable accommodation for the post office and reside in the same village.
- Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM): ABPM assists the BPM in mail delivery, postal transactions, IPPB services, and marketing of postal products. They may also perform BPM duties when required.
- Dak Sevak: Dak Sevaks handle mail delivery, sale of stamps, IPPB transactions, and assist in post office operations. They may also work in RMS or departmental offices.

Age Limit
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 40 years
Age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD categories as per government norms.
Educational Qualification
- Passed Class 10 (Secondary School Examination) from a recognized board
- Must have studied Mathematics and English
- Knowledge of the local language of the postal circle is mandatory
Additional Requirements
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to ride a bicycle / two-wheeler
