Educational Qualification
- Candidate must have passed Class 10 (High School) from a recognized board.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 30 Years

The recruitment of UP Home Guards is carried out through multiple stages, beginning with a written examination and followed by physical tests, document verification, and a medical assessment.
- Written Exam: Candidates will appear for a written test consisting of 100 questions worth 100 marks. Only those who secure the required qualifying marks will move to the next stage.
- Physical Measurement Test (PMT) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Applicants who clear the written exam must undergo PMT and PET, where their physical standards and fitness levels are evaluated.
- Document Verification: After qualifying in the physical tests, candidates must present their original documents for verification by the authorities.
- Medical Test: In the final stage, candidates will be medically examined. Only those who are found physically and medically fit will be considered for appointment as UP Home Guards.

UP Home Guard Recruitment 2025 – Real-Time Photo Upload Guidelines
During the online application process, candidates must submit a live photograph taken at the time of filling the form. This photo will be captured through a webcam or any similar device.
- Live Photo Capture Only: The system will take your photograph on the spot while you are completing the application form. Pre-clicked or edited photos will not be accepted.
- Do Not Wear Any Head Covering: Avoid wearing caps, hats, or anything else on your head during the photo capture. Photos taken with headgear will be rejected.
Face Should Be Completely Clear: Your face must not be covered or partially hidden by:
- Mask
- Hair falling on the face
- Any cloth
- Shadows
- Accessories or jewelry
- Any other object
- The entire face must be visible clearly.
For Candidates Who Use Spectacles: You may keep your spectacles on, but ensure that:
- No glare, reflection, or light falls on the glasses.
- Both eyes are clearly visible in the picture.
- Avoid Blurry Photos: The photograph should be sharp and clear. Any photo that appears blurred will not be accepted.
- Control Excessive Brightness: Ensure proper lighting. The photo should not be overly bright or washed out.
- Do Not Wear Any Type of Uniform: The live photograph must be taken in regular clothing. Photos clicked in uniform will lead to rejection of the application.
- Uniform Not Allowed in Any Stage: Candidates must avoid wearing uniforms during the written exam or any stage of the enrollment process. Doing so may result in disqualification.
- If Photo Does Not Match Aadhaar: If the live photo looks different from the Aadhaar photo, the candidate must fill the required declaration form in the online application.

UP Home Guard Recruitment 2025 – Signature Upload Guidelines
While filling the UP Home Guard 2025 online application form, every candidate must upload their scanned signature. The signature must follow the specific rules given below to avoid rejection.
- Candidates must sign on a white sheet of paper using a black ink pen.
- The signature should be written inside a box of 50mm × 20mm.
- Your signature should be in running/handwritten cursive style.
- Block letters or capital letter signatures are not allowed.
- The scanned copy of your signature must be saved and uploaded in JPG or JPEG image format only.
- Your signature image must follow the required size:
- Dimensions: 50mm × 20mm OR 140 × 60 pixels
- File Size: Between 30 KB and 50 KB
- The signature you upload must be your own original signature.
