The biggest change is that users can now update their Aadhaar-linked mobile number using:
- OTP (One-Time Password) verification, and
- Face Authentication (via Aadhaar FaceID technology)
This eliminates the need for biometric verification at Aadhaar centres such as fingerprint or iris scan.

- Enter the new mobile number you want to register.
- Verify via OTP (may be sent to old and/or new number).
- Complete Face Authentication through the camera.
- Confirm and submit.
Once the request is processed, the new mobile number will be linked to your Aadhaar.
A small service fee may apply during confirmation.
